Pervez Musharraf says Kulbhushan Jadhav bigger terrorist than Ajmal Kasab, slams Pakistan for appearing at ICJ

Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf said on Friday that Kulbhushan Jadhav was more of terrorist Ajmal Kasab, one of the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in Mumbai in 2008.
Jadhav, a former Indian Navy officer, was sentenced to death by a Pakistani military court in April of this year for espionage purposes. Pakistan claims that Jadhav was an Investigation and Analysis (RAW) agent and is responsible for fomenting agitation in Balochistan, the Pakistani region of Islamabad, where he has long criticized RAW for promoting terrorism.
In an interview with ARY News Pakistan, Musharraf drew parallels between Jadhav and Kasab, who was hanged to death in India for his role in the Mumbai attacks. Musharraf said that Kasab was only a “pawan”, while Jadhav is responsible for obtaining “dozens of people” to carry out terrorist activities.
“Who is the greatest culprit (between Jadhav and Kasab),” Musharraf was asked before saying, “Obviously it is Jadhav.” “I do not even know how Jadhav’s death is responsible,” said M. Musharraf.
The former chief of the Pakistani army also gave a country to appear before the International Court of Justice, which allowed to suspend this week the death penalty Jadhav. “It was not true that India has gone to the ICJ,” Musharraf said, adding, “Pakistan should not be a party (ICJ).”
The issues of espionage and sabotage are internal affairs of Pakistan, Musharraf added, saying that no one has the power to advise the country on these issues.
He also said that global organizations such as the United Nations and the International Court of Justice have no real power. The guidelines issued by these global organizations are ignored by some countries, M. Musharraf, after they were asked if Pakistan could obviously avoid sending a team to the ICJ to defend itself against India’s claim.
Musharraf then cited the example of the United States execution of two German citizens in 1999 despite a provisional decision by the ICJ setting a stay of the death sentence to two.
THE QUESTION KULBHUSHAN JADHAV
In April of this year, Pakistani army chief Javed Qamar Bajwa confirmed the death sentence on Kulbhushan Jadhav, accused of espionage.
India, which closed Jadhav’s trial as “a farce,” said Jadhav is not a spy and he is a former officer of the Indian Navy – he has become a businessman who has been kidnapped in Iran and taken to Pakistan.
Noting that Islamabad had violated the Vienna Convention by not providing consular access to Jadhav New Delhi, India submitted a petition to the International Court of Justice in The Hague, The Netherlands.
This week, the World Court, which estimated India’s motive has asked Pakistan not to execute Jadhav until the ICJ had time to fully understand the problem and reach a final verdict.
